Information requests made under the Scottish Freedom of Information Act and the Scottish Environmental Information Regulations must be processed within a maximum of 20 working days, not including weekends or bank holidays.

The 20 working days timeframe starts when the University receives your request and ends when it sends a response. This 'time clock' may restart if we have to ask you to clarify your request, or pause if we have to notify you that a fee is payable.

Fees

On some occasions, the University may ask you to pay a fee when we respond to a freedom of information request. Where this is the case we will write to you in advance setting out the fee and how we have calculated it. Please see our charging information for more details.
