Research

Our research strategy includes genetics, neuroimaging, stem cell, trials and training initiatives. Psychiatry in Edinburgh, as part of Edinburgh Neuroscience's combined submission to the 'Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience' panel for the UK-wide Research Excellence framework (REF 2014), was 3rd in the UK for research power, with a 100% 4 star score for its research environment and an 81% 4 star rating on impact of research in the UK. We carry out research across a range of psychiatric disorders.

High Risk Studies

We have undertaken several, extensive longitudinal studies concerning the development of a number of psychiatric conditions:
