Sally-Ann Cooper

Sally-Ann Cooper is Professor of Learning Disabilities at the University of Glasgow, Deputy Director of the Institute of Health and Wellbeing, and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist.

Professor Cooper’s research interests are in mental health epidemiology and trials of complex interventions for adults with intellectual disabilities, and impact of intelligence on mental health.

She is currently an advisory group member for the World Health Organisations’s revisions for the ICD-11 Mental and Behavioural Disorders chapter. She also serves on Scotland’s Chief Scientist Office research grant awarding committee (the Health Services and Population Research Committee), and CSO’s research Fellowships Committee, and is co-editor of the Journal of Intellectual Disabilities Research.
