Background
Bill received an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Cape Town, and went on to study the art of teaching languages to adults, enjoying a career as a language teacher and language teacher trainer at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. An interest in the use of Web 2.0 tools to enage language learners led to his completing a masters degree in Digital Technology and Communication in Education at the University of Manchester, with a focus on the use of interactive video for the development of novice teachers. After spending four years as a Learning Experience Designer in the private sector, Bill joined the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences as a Learning Technologist.
