Background
I am a graduate of the University of Edinburgh MSc. in Equine Science (Distinction) from the inaugural year 2008-2011. My final year dissertation focused on coat colour and endurance horses in hot (UAE) and temperate (UK) climates; hypothesizing that horses with darker coats would perform less well in warmer climes due to the principles of solar loading and thermoregulation. I have an honours undergraduate degree in psychology and also have a keen interest in equine behaviour. I am passionate about animal welfare and am the programme co-ordinator for the MSc. in IAWEL (International Animal Welfare Ethics and Law).
