Background
Teresa Marchena Stephen is from Lima, Perú. She graduated with the title of B.A. in education (ELT) from the prestigious National Pedagogic Institute Monterrico and from the University of the Sacred Heart UNIFE in Perú. Teresa also holds an Advanced Certificate in English Language Teaching from the University of Edinburgh.
She has extensive experience in language teaching. She taught English in Perú for five years both in schools and in language centres.
In Scotland she taught Spanish in the Management School to MBA students and in the Department of European Languages and Cultures to undergraduate students at the University of Edinburgh.
She is currently a Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh - Centre for Open Learning where she teaches Spanish at different levels.
