Background

Sui He is a part-time teaching fellow in Translation Studies at the University of Edinburgh. She is in the final year of her PhD programme in Translation Studies at UCL, where she worked as a postgraduate teaching assistant for MA and MSc translation programmes before joining Edinburgh. Her current research is on metaphor translation in popular scientific discourse. Alongside her studies, she also works as a researcher for the Chinese Classics Translation Project at the Royal Shakespeare Company and as a freelance translator/interpreter between English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese.
