Background

After having put my first foot in Biology in high school, I put the second in Bioinformatics from my third year of study.

Driven by the search for answers, but above all by the search for new questions, I have enriched my knowledge over the years. First, in Biology, with a passage to the bench, in Computer science by learning to program, to tame Linux and finally in bioinformatics by deploying "whole genome" study projects.

After a master degree in Bioinformatics, I worked for one year as an engineer on cereal paleogenomics before starting my PhD. It focused in the organization of the chicken genome through the annotation of repeated sequences.

After, I worked for 4 years as Bioinformatician for a French international plant breeder. This position has been the opportunity to do some genome assembly, variant discovery and to build an SNP microarray for a tetraploid plant.

Today, I joined Mick Watson's group as Postdoctoral Research Fellow. I'm involved into the Gene-Switch project where I'm in charge of the annotation of chicken and pig genome by RNA Isoseq long-read sequencing.
