Background

https://www.scrum.org/assessments/professional-scrum-user-experience-certificationRyan joined the University in 2014 and initially worked within the Human Resource departments of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, and Accommodation, Catering and Events. Ryan joined Information Services as a Project Administrator in 2019, and supported various programmes and projects including:

  • Learn Foundations
  • Lecture Recording
  • E-Assessment Procurement

Responsibilities & affiliations

Since 2021, Ryan has been based within the Website and Communications team, within the Learning, Teaching and Web directorate (LTW). Holding the role of Service Manager (Web Services), supporting Web Publishing within the University.

Ryan is responsible for:

  • The central University Website,
  • The underlying Web Content Management System (CMS); EdWeb and EdWeb 2
  • The University Blogging Service, Blogs.ed
  • The University Web Search,
  • Tools to support website management,
  • Web publishing best practice and guidance,
  • Web Accessibility.

Web Publishers Community

Ryan chairs the Web Publishers Community, a hybrid get together for web publishing colleagues from across the University.
