Background

Reiss graduated in 2018 with First Class Honours in Biomedical Science, from Keele University. He then went on to study at Imperial College London, where he completed his MSc in Immunology. His research focused on Lipoxin A4 signaling by cAMP, and subsequent influence on macrophage polarization, at the Imperial Centre for Translational and Experimental Medicine (Vascular Pathology: National Heart and Lung Institute).

Reiss joined the Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh in 2020 as a PhD student. He is investigating Microglial Plasticity in neurodegenerative Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (Prion diseases), under the supervision of Professor Neil Mabbott and Dr Abigail Diack.
