Background
Susan Rhind is Chair of Veterinary Medical Education at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. She graduated from Glasgow University Veterinary School and following 3 years in general veterinary practice, studied for a PhD in immunology at the University of Edinburgh. She subsequently specialised as a pathologist becoming a Member then Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. Since then she has developed a major interest in all aspects of veterinary education; current areas of research include assessment and feedback, e-learning, the use of models to support veterinary education and student well-being/ support. She has published widely in pathology and in veterinary education and regularly speaks at national and international conferences. She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
