Biography

Background

I’m originally from the West Midlands, a city called Wolverhampton.  As I am from a widening participation background, I am only too familiar with some of the challenges and barriers that under-represented communities face in accessing higher education, especially into high tariff universities. 

I graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in Marketing and Digital Media and started my career in higher education.  I have over 15 years’ experience of working within higher education, specialising in recruitment and admissions, international partnerships and collaboration, widening participation and outreach and supporting equality, diversity and inclusion within higher education. 

In my current role I manage  and work as part of a highly experienced and dynamic recruitment and admissions team.  We pride ourselves on ensuring prospective students have a seamless transition to university life at Edinburgh and we are here to support the applicant journey every step of the way.  We are committed to providing applicants, parents, partners, school teachers and guidance counsellors with the relevant information required to help make that all important decision on where to study.
