Background

In 2015 I earned an MSc degree with honours in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Gdańsk and Medical University in Gdańsk (IFB UG-MUG), Poland. My BSc thesis concerned adverse effects of chemotherapy and MSc thesis - based on research I conducted on UNIVPM, Italy - described deleterious health effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals present in common plastic products.

During my studies I performed a development project for a leading medical diagnostics company and gathered some additional experience in topics of biological weapons countermeasure, non-coding RNAs and reducing chemotherapy toxicity. Following graduation, I spent two productive years in a biopharmaceutical R&D company, participating in a successful development of a therapeutic antibody product, working in an international, GMP/GLP/GDP-focused environment, learning about various aspects of industrial antibody production and commercial operations.

Passionate about biotherapeutics, I’ve started a PhD programme in 2018, looking to develop innovative cancer treatment modalities and to further my skills in biological drug discovery and development.

Currently I work on adapting proprietary murine antibodies for use in different species, developing novel veterinary antibodies and studying the importance of PD1-PDL1 immune checkpoint in canine disease model.
