Background

Mike graduated from the Dick Vet in 2014, having also completed an intercalated honours degree studying the impacts of parasite immunity on wild sheep. After 4 years in mixed practice, he returned to the Dick Vet to start a residency with the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management, before progressing to an ECAT-V lectureship in 2021.

Mike’s clinical and research interests lie in parasitology, epidemiology and evolutionary biology, and how improved understanding of these areas can help to increase farming efficiency and sustainability.
