Biography

Background

Melissa is currently in the role of Student Digital Communications Officer at the Biomedical Sciences Teaching Organisation.

Previously, Melissa joined the Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability and the Finance Department on a secondment from Sport & Exercise, where she held the role of Communications and Marketing Officer. During her time at Sports & Exercise, she also headed up several successful Sustainability Awards bids at Silver and Gold levels, including wide-reaching initiatives such as pedometer challenges and trials of eco-friendly products.

With a background in Journalism and Social Anthropology, Melissa's specialities include digital media, community engagement and content creation.
