Margaret MacPherson

Digital Services: Web Developer for the School Website

Background

Margaret studied graphic design at Northampton University's School of Art, then worked as a graphic designer at Dunfermline College of PE - which at the time was Moray House's PE Campus. When Moray House merged with the University of Edinburgh in 1998, Margaret took the opportunity to train - at the University - to become a web developer. She then became web developer for the 'Moray House School of Education and Sport' website.

Responsibilities

As web developer for the Moray House School of Education and Sport website, Margaret updates the School website - ie, she applies the majority of edits, additions and structural changes requested or required. She strongly adheres to advice from our central University Website Publishing (UWP) Team on CMS upgrades and best editorial practice - ie, 'writing for the web' house style, accessibility regulations, and UX guidelines. This should ensure our website audiences have ease of navigation throughout the School website and an overall enjoyable user experience.
