Thesis title: Teachers’ and pupils’ beliefs about using English and target language in the Scottish secondary modern language learning context

Background

Maggie has just completed her PhD in Education at Moray House. Her doctoral thesis focused on beliefs about the use of mother tongue and target language among teachers and pupil in the context of Scottish modern language learning in early secondary school. 

Maggie completed her MSc in Language Teaching at Moray House in 2017. Her masters research explored attitudes towards maximal target language use among  American middle school language teachers.
