Background
Maaike Boswinkel studied at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, and graduated as a veterinary surgeon in October 1999.Worked in a mixed animal practice in The Netherlands for over a year, before moving to the UK in November 2000.
In the UK continued working as a mixed animal vet, in the Cotswolds, until June 2002.
In August 2002 she moved to Scotland. There worked as a small animal vet in large practice for just over 12 years. Besides working as a routine small animal vet, she also worked as a veterinary acupuncturist within the practice, treating dogs and cats with osteo-arthritic pain issues.
In February 2016 she joined the DVGP team at the Royal Dick Vet Small Animal Hospital. She really enjoying working at DVSAP.
