Teaching Fellow in Translation from Italian and Lecturer in History

Background

I have taught the Honours translation course, Italian Language 4 Paper Two, since 2012, as well as tutoring the Translation Portfolio for the MSc in Translation Studies (2012-14). 

As a literary translator I have translated numerous works of non-fiction and fiction. Several of the books I’ve translated are in the field of social and cultural history which is my other field of specialisation.  As a historian, I teach courses relating to Early Modern Italy and Europe at the Centre for Open Learning and in the History Department.  

Qualifications

Ph.D. in History, European University Institute, Italy. 

Responsibilities & affiliations

Qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and of the Society of Authors (Translators Association).
