Lorna Quickfall

Manager of Student Welfare

Background

Lorna has worked for many years as a teacher and leader in education, with a focus on academic and pastoral support in relation to mental health issues.  She helps both students and professionals problem solve on their learner journeys, and is an experienced coach and mentor.   Lorna has an academic interest in how individuals and organisations learn and develop, and is currently undertaking a masters in Professional Education.

You can meet up with her for a 1:1 chat if you want to talk anything through.  Common themes include feeling overwhelmed, frustrated or isolated in your university experience, but you can talk about anything you like.  She can help you to unpick what is on your mind, and work with you to develop an action plan to meet your goals.  You can meet for a one off session or have a block of coaching.   Lorna works closely with the wider University team.  She can help you identify which of our team members can help you achieve your aims.
