Lianya Qiu (PhD student)

Thesis title: Stakeholders’ Perspectives on the Curriculum in Complementary Schools – a Comparative Case Study of Polish and Chinese Complementary Schools in Edinburgh

Background

Lianya Qiu is currently a PhD student at Moray House School of Education and Sport. Before her PhD study, she conducted her MSc study at the University of Edinburgh. Her master's dissertation focused on the curriculum design and development of Chinese complementary schools in Edinburgh. Because of her passion for heritage language education research, she returned to Moray House and continues pursuing her PhD by conducting a comparative case study on the curricula in Polish complementary schools and Chinese complementary schools.
