Research summary

I am interested in rethinking concepts and practices that are crucial for how we can imagine our subjectivity and open up alternative ways of living as possibilities. I have explored in depth and challenged the concepts/practices of psychotherapy, reflexivity, experience and narcissism. I interrogate the assumptions that these concepts and practices take for granted. I further question what they help to generate in terms of ways of becoming a subject, of relating, of living, of knowing and more. Methodologically, I have worked reflexively with my own experience as a person, psychotherapist and educator as well as with poststructural and posthumanist theories; feminist approaches; existential-phenomenological theories; and relational and experiential perspectives in psychotherapy. In my current research, I am focusing my attention on theories that challenge the coloniality of our knowledge, ways of living, society, economy and politics.
