Dr Jessica Enright

Background

Jess completed an MSc (2006) and a PhD (2011) in theoretical computing science at the University of Alberta in the Department of Computing Science, supervised by Professor Lorna Stewart.

From 2012 to 2015 she worked with Professor Rowland Kao at the University of Glasgow on the Epic project, modelling livestock disease in Scotland, and from 2015 to 2018 was a lecturer in mathematics at the Unviersity of Stirling.  

Jess joined the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Security at the University of Edinburgh in March, 2018.

Jess has a broad variety of research interests across maths, computing, and epidemiology.  She is often found working on networks and graphs, and their application to controlling the spread of infectious disease.
