Background

Jenni graduated from the R(D)SVS in 2014 with a distinction in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. After spending 2 years in general practice, she joined The Feline Genome Project under the leadership of Professor Danielle Gunn Moore, Professor Richard Mellanby and Dr. Jeffrey Schoenebeck. The aim of the project is to investigate the genetic underpinnings of chronic feline diseases and morphological variation. Using the data collected from the Feline Genome Project, Jenni is now undertaking a PhD in feline genetics and genomics between the Roslin Institute and the Small Animal Hospital. Outside of her research, Jenni continues to locum as a veterinary surgeon in general practice and is involved in undergraduate clinical skills teaching and examining.
