Current research interests
My current research focuses on social behaviour in emergencies and disasters with a slight leaning towards man-made, sudden-impact incidents.
Whether natural or man-made, many emergencies and sudden-impact disasters occur in crowded environments, where the way people act and react can mean the difference between a life saved and a life lost. This makes the understanding of social behaviours during emergencies and disasters crucial.
Past research interests
I have a BSc and MSc in anthropology where I have especially focused on social exchange and the cultural dimensions and manifestations behind social bonds. My background in social and cultural anthropology has provided me a holistic approach to understanding complex behaviours in entangled social contexts.
