Project Administrator, Primary Care and Multimorbidity Research Group, Usher Institute
Florance first started work for the university in 1997 as secretary in the Department of Meteorology at the King’s Buildings science campus. Her first research grant admin job was in 2000 on an EC grant with the Business School but she was soon back at KB, at one point holding down three separate part-time research grant admin positions in the School of Biological Sciences. A full-time stint at the Digital Curation Centre (funded by JISC) added a little simplicity to her life and another funder to her portfolio. Her position at the Usher Institute involves a whole new range of medical funders.
