Research and Engagement Manager

Background

I'm responsible for research culture and funding profile of the School of Economics. I work with our Director of Research to develop and implement strategic policies, working to build the school’s research portfolio. I also provide the school’s research support, including horizon scanning and planning, providing bespoke advice to colleagues, pre and post award support, grant reporting and financial management, Open Access compliance, supporting Research Excellence Framework (REF) and enabling researchers at all career stages to reach their research potential. In addition, I work with the Knowledge Exchange and Impact Director on the knowledge exchange, impact activities.

I work with the school’s senior professional services team to build a supportive and engaging working environment, encouraging and supporting cross-team collaboration. 

Qualifications

Masters in Scottish History, focusing on crime and punishment 1700-1900.
