Fiona Davidson

Research Project Manager

Background

I am an accomplished and passionate senior manager with extensive programme management experience. I have worked on behalf of universities, international and national charities, and consultancy firms both as a staff member and as a strategy consultant. I have managed large scale projects in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean during my career and have spent over seven years working in South East Asia. Previous roles include working as Country Director for Malaria Consortium in Cambodia and strategy consultant for Comic Relief. I'm currently working for the University of Edinburgh managing a GCRF funded multi-country research programme.

With two young children of my own, I have become passionate about the experience of parents within maternal health services. I'm currently a trustee of Petals who offer specialist counselling to families who have had a stillbirth. I provide fundraising and strategy advice to the team at Petals.
