Before joining the University of Edinburgh, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Ruhr Universität Bochum in Germany. My PhD was completed in 2020 and was conducted as part of the Research Training Group 'Situated Cognition' at the same university. In my thesis, I developed an account of self-perception and -representation in the predictive processing framework. I am currently conducting research on decision making within this framework.

Before moving to Germany in 2017, I lived in Durban, South Africa where I completed my BA and MA degrees.
