Background
Currently, as a Teaching Fellow in Digital Education, I am based in the Digital Education Unit and the Jeanne Marchig International Centre for Animal Welfare Education at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. Providing pedagogical advice; instructional design; designing and developing digital education resources for MSc programmes and continuing professional development (DPD). I provide support to students and staff on e-professionalism and managing an effective digital footprint/online identity via workshops, lectures, and one-to-one clinics.
From Dec 2018-Nov 2020, I am seconded, as Senior E-Learning Developer, to the Jeanne Marchig International Centre for Animal Welfare Education at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. This role involves the development of a range of educational resources, including CPD courses, mobile apps, videos, interactive online activities, and websites. I am Principal Investigator and involved in a number of research projects which focus on digital education; digital footprint; social media use in learning & teaching; and animal welfare.
From 2015-2018, I was based in the Digital Education Unit, at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, as Senior E-Learning Developer, where I was responsible for providing e-learning development support for a number of online postgraduate MSc programmes; pedagogical advice; and instructional design. I provided support to students and staff on e-professionalism and managing an effective digital footprint/online identity via workshops, lectures, and one-to-one clinics.
Previously, as Head of Digital Education at the Institute for Academic Development, University of Edinburgh, I provided pedagogical advice to a wide range of University colleagues and engaged with research and external activities in the field of digital education and social media.

Research summary
Principal Investigator for the PTAS funded 'Managing Your Digital Footprint' project (2014-2015). The research aimed to investigate students' digital footprints and use of social media.
Co-investigator for the PTAS funded project "A live pulse": Yik Yak for Understanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment at Edinburgh (2016-2017).
In addition, I am interested in social media usage and the possible implications for teaching and learning; as well as research, ethics and social media.
