Dr Guraa Bergkvist

Senior Lecturer

Originally from Norway, I graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at The University of Edinburgh in 2003, during which time I also did an intercalated honours degree. After four years in mixed and small animal practice in Scotland I returned to the R(D)SVS to do a PhD in molecular oncology. I am currently a senior lecturer at the R(D)SVS in veterinary anatomy, and my research interests are the underlying mechanisms involved in the development of resistance to targeted therapeutics in cancer and conditions where there are dysregulation of osteoclasts causing pathological bone resorption.
