Background

Debbie graduated from the R(D)SVS in 2007, after which she completed a small animal rotating internship at Glasgow Vet School.  Debbie then returned to Edinburgh to study for her PhD in immunology at The Roslin Institute.  In June 2014, Debbie joined the Dermatology department at the Dick Vet initially as a resident, and now as Lecturer in Veterinary Dermatology.  Debbie obtained her Edinburgh Teaching Award in 2018, allowing her to become a Fellow of the Higher Education Association (FHEA) and she is currently studying towards her European Diploma in Veterinary Dermatology. Her main research interests include the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis and genetic skin diseases.
