Background

Daniel's research focuses on empirical and theoretical labour economics, in particular wage dynamics and career choices.

In recent work he examines how British firms adjust their wages and hours to the business cycle, how firm-level pay differences depend on occupational specialisation, and how the rise in temporary contracts affects career choices of young workers.

Daniel graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2018 with a PhD in Economics.
