Carola Daniel

Residency in Equine Diagnostic Imaging

Background

Carola graduated from the Ludwig Maximilian University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Munich, Germany in 2011 and went on to work in mixed and equine practices in Germany. In 2013 she completed and Equine Rotating Internship at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria. The time in Vienna spiked her interest in research and she subsequently moved to Edinburgh in 2014 to do a PhD in Clinical Veterinary Sciences. Carola is currently training in the field of diagnostic imaging with focus on research applications of relevant techniques, particularly in large animals. She is also teaching first and second year students in veterinary anatomy, including a basic introduction into imaging.

Carola's aim is to promote a strong connection between research, clinical and pre-clinical work and to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.
