Background
I qualified as a teacher of FLE (Français Langue Etrangère/ French as a Foreign Language) at Université Paul Valéry Montpellier III and as a secondary school French teacher in the “Education Nationale”. I taught French as a Foreign Language at university level in Latvia and France, and currently in Scotland, where I have been working for the University of Edinburgh since 2013. In 2017, I created Babble (DELC Creative Writing Magazine) with my colleague Sylvain Blanche.
I am also a poet, under the name Anne-Laure Coxam. I have had work published in magazines such as Gutter, The Scores, Poetry Scotland, Erotoplasty, and in the following anthologies: Wretched Strangers (Boiler House Press); The End Of The World Project (http://www.moriapoetry.com/ ); Umbrellas of Edinburgh Freight Books/Shoreline of Infinity); Four Letter Word Project (Interview Room 11 https://interviewroom-11.square.site/) ; Dostoyevsky Wannabe Glasgow Anthology (Dostoyevsky Wannabe). I am blessed to be part of a collective of women poets called 12 and my first collection is forthcoming in November 2022 with Blue Diode Press.
