Background
I joined the Digital Skills and Training team in 2013 and design, develop and deliver digital skills-based training courses and guidance for staff and students across the University. From time to time I provide training support for University projects, having previously worked on the Media Hopper Replay (lecture recording), Media Hopper Create (media asset management service) and PebblePad (flexible learning space) projects.
The main software/services I provide training for are:
- Adobe Spark
- Lynda.com
- Making the most of IT (new student information sessions)
- Media Hopper Create
- Media Hopper Replay (lecture recording)
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Word
- Prezi
In addition to my main role, I also manage and promote the Lynda.com online skills development service for the University, encouraging staff and students to use this free service to develop their digital, business, IT and creative skills.
