Alexis is currently taking an 18 month secondment within the Department, working to understand, monitor and improve the social responsibility and sustainability performance of University suppliers. Alexis originally started working for the department after finishing an MSc in Food Security in 2012. Her role initially focused on promoting sustainable behaviours directly to staff and students, including communing, business travel, recycling and energy use. She then moved on to coordinating the department’s annual Office Awards programme, supporting over 30 schools and departments to implement more sustainable practices. Alexis also developed University’s first Good Food Policy and related sustainable food activities.
