Background
Prior to joining the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Security, Alexandra completed her MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Oxford, focusing her research on how agroecological organisations across South India envision and implement market integrations for agroecological farmers. Alexandra has a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College in Maine (USA) and previously worked as a business transformation consultant for IBM, focusing on smart grid implementations. Alexandra has also conducted research on government spending on climate change mitigation and adaptation during the pandemic for the Oxford University Economic Recovery Project. As part of the E4 DTP studentship, Alexandra will focus her PhD research on investigating the distribution and exchange of agroecological products in South India.
