Background

Alex obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Edinburgh, and continued his education here with an MSc Economics on the Econometrics track. Following an interesting and challenging year in the SGPE, he is excited to do his best in research on applied political economics. Alex is most interested in election incentives, voting, government cycles and how these interconnect with economic welfare. His other research interests include Financial Economics and political and economic effects of Foreign Direct Investment in particular.
