Modern Slavery in procurement
At the University of Edinburgh, we are committed to protecting and respecting human rights and have a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking in all its forms.
The University Modern Slavery statement is updated annually, and is made pursuant to Section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Our Modern Slavery Commitment sets out the steps the University has taken across our research, teaching and operational activities in relation to slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and within our own organisation. In 2021-22, one of the actions taken forward through the Modern Slavery Commitment was the development of an Anti-Slavery policy. This policy was ratified by the University Executive in September 2021.
