GO AWARDS - Success
Procurement celebrated success at the recent GO awards Scotland picking up the award in the Social and Community Benefit in Procurement category.
In a good night for the HE sector, University of Strathclyde entry was Highly Commended in the same category.
The award recognised the multi-disciplinary team working across the University, in particular with colleagues in the Social Responsibility and Sustainability Department, to enable a culture of sustainable and ethical purchasing and community benefit in the University’s procurement activity. It also recognises the external partnerships we have gained through our Procurement Policy Officer, Peter Hayakawa’s, role in the building of an effective network of stakeholders across the HE/FE sector and further afield with the City Deal partners and Scottish Government.
There is no higher praise than having your efforts recognised by your peers, but rather than ‘getting the bunting out’ we thought it would be of more interest to publish the winning submission in full so colleagues can see the work efforts and areas where Procurement is having an influence.
