Fees and funding
Find out about fees and funding opportunities
Our current tuition fees are listed on the Postgraduate Taught Table of Fees page:
Students on full-time and part-time programmes of study of more than one year should be aware that annual tuition fees are subject to revision and are typically increased by approximately 5% per annum. This annual increase should be taken into account when you are applying for a programme.
Determine your fee status
All Scottish universities are required to determine fee status in accordance with regulations approved by the Scottish Parliament - the Education (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 2011.
Your tuition fee status and the level of tuition fee that you pay is determined by your nationality and the country where you are ‘ordinarily resident’.
Graduate discount scheme
We offer a 10% discount on postgraduate tuition fees for alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh, or for students who have previously matriculated on a ‘Visiting Programme’ (minimum one semester). The scheme applies to both home and overseas self-funded students.
A full list of funding opportunities can be found on the University Scholarships website. The scholarships funding search allows you to filter results to your requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: Deadlines for funding applications vary for each funding source - please make sure to check the specific deadlines for the funding opportunities you wish to apply for and make sure that you submit your application in good time.
In order to be eligible to apply for funding you must have submitted your application to study at the University of Edinburgh and have been issued with a University User Name (UUN number).
