Professor Holly Branigan elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh
Congratulations to the Head of School, Professor Holly Branigan, on being selected as a 2021 Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE).
Professor of Language & Cognition, Holly Branigan, joins RSE’s current role of around 1,600 leading thinkers and practitioners from Scotland and beyond, whose work has a significant impact on the nation.
I'm delighted and honoured to have been elected a Fellow, and am looking forward to playing a part in the Royal Society of Edinburgh's mission to contribute to the social, cultural and economic wellbeing of Scotland.

About Holly
Holly has been the Head of School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences since 2018.
Holding a Personal Chair in Psychology of Language & Cognition, Holly’s main research interests are in the psychology of communication, and the relationship between linguistic and psychological theories of syntax.
Holly’s research cuts across disciplinary boundaries, and is of relevance to researchers in theoretical and computational linguistics and computer science, as well as to researchers in psychology.
