PPLS Summer Graduations 2017

We celebrated the success of our PPLS graduates on Monday 3 July

287 students from the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences graduated this week.

The graduation ceremonies took place at the recently refurbished McEwan Hall, with receptions for graduates and guests taking place afterwards in Teviot and the Psychology Building (7 George Square).

Remarkable Student Achievements

We are very proud of the remarkable achievements of our students.

Undergraduate student Sven Kasser (Psychology) produced an outstanding dissertation, as well as winning the prize for best undergraduate presentation at the BPS Scotland Undergraduate conference, which was held in Edinburgh in March this year.

Undergraduate student James Michaelov (Philosophy & Linguistics) wrote a wonderful dissertation on "How universal are prominence hierarchies? Evidence from native English speakers". James has since submitted the work to an international conference and has been accepted to present a poster on the same title. The conference is the 23rd annual Architectures and Mechanisms of Language Processing (AMLaP) conference, September 7-9, York, UK.
