Transferring your degree
If you want to change to a different programme
There are strict deadlines governing degree transfers. Students wishing to transfer into a programme owned by the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences (PPLS) are advised to speak to a PPLS student support officer at an early stage. Transfers are not always straightforward, even for transfers between a combined honours degree and a related single honours degree programme.
Students can no longer transfer programme in the academic session 2018/19. Please use the guidance and form below to apply for transfers in the 2019/20 academic session.
Decisions are made by the PPLS senior Personal Tutor and are based on:
- Academic achievement at University
- Academic achievement prior to entry and/or entry qualifications
- Relevant special circumstances
Students can expect to hear the outcome of their transfer application during the summer break.
To apply to transfer to an undergraduate programme owned by School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences (PPLS), students should read the guidance below and fill out the online form:
Please note that we will not be able to consider any applications received after 5pm on Friday 27 September.
Should your transfer require a full time repeat year or if you are transferring into the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS) you should apply directly to the college office.
