Philosophy of language work in progress

Monthly meeting of philosophy of language researchers to discuss their ongoing work

The purpose of the Edinburgh Philosophy of Language Group (EPLG) is to provide a discussion forum for researchers working on issues in natural language semantics or philosophy of language. Topics include the nature of meaning and propositions, formal semantics, metasemantics, truth, and reference, etc.

Meetings take the form of informal discussions of work-in-progress where the members read drafts in advance. However, occasionally we also host presentations by visiting researchers.

The group meets roughly twice a month and meetings are scheduled to last for two hours.
