Islamic Philosophy reading group

Discussing primary texts from different philosophical traditions of the Islamic world

This interdisciplinary reading group brings together academic staff and students from Philosophy, Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, and Divinity. We read and discuss works of falsafa and kalām from the classical and post-classical periods of Islamic philosophy, for instance, Avicenna, Averroes, al-Fārābī, al-Ghazālī, Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī, al-Suhrawardī etc. The group meets on a weekly basis during the semester.
