Reading: An Intuitive Explanation of Convolutional Neural Networks

Further information

This semester, we are continuing to read Russell and Norvig's Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach (3rd Edition). We will be tackling Part V ('Learning'), starting with Chapter 18 ('Learning from examples') and moving on to the chapters on learning probabilistic models and reinforcement learning.

If you would like a gentle introduction to machine learning, this reading group is for you. There is some mathematical content, but don't let this put you off. We will work through the material slowly together. The book also gives good intuitive glosses.
