Linguistic Circle

Invited talks on a range of Linguistics topics from high-profile speakers

Linguistic Circle is the department's flagship seminar series and a chance to hear from world-leading experts in Linguistics and English Language.

Time and place

Unless otherwise specified, talks will take place on Thursdays at 3:10pm.

Locations vary across the year, so please check the LEL events page to see where the upcoming talks are taking place.

As before, there will be a reception after the talks in the 7th floor Common Room in the Dugald Stewart Building, generally from around 4.30pm.


Staff and students in Linguistics and English Language are automatically included on the email list to hear about upcoming events and talk abstracts.
