Linguistics student captains University Challenge team
Emma Williams captains the University of Edinburgh team to victory in the first round of 2019/2020 University Challenge
Congratulations to the University of Edinburgh team who beat Birberk, securing their spot in the second round and maintaining their reputation as last year’s champions.
MA Linguistics student Emma Williams is the captain of the team and is joined by fellow students Richard Moon (MSc Classics), Adam McLauchlan (MChem Chemistry) and Isaac Stevens (MA German and History).
The Edinburgh team won their first-round match by 165 points to 90 against Birkbeck (University of London) and will now progress through to the second round.
